Nokia Launches Three New Budget Smartphones in the US: Nokia C5 Endi, C2 Tava and C2 Tennen

Nokia has been launching a lot of smartphones this year but mostly in the budget to mid-range segment along with a couple of high-end devices about to be released soon like the Nokia 9.2 PureView. Today the company has announced more budget-centric devices but only for the US market. The phones are the Nokia C5 Endi, Nokia C2 Tava, and Nokia C2 Tennen for Cricket Wireless. While the devices are not packed with any hardware or software of significance, they are priced in a way that leaves little to complain about.

Nokia C5 Endi, Nokia C2 Tava, and Nokia C2 Tennen: Price and availability

The Nokia C5 Endi will be priced at $169.99 (about Rs 12,800) and it will be selling starting from 5 June onwards in just a single colour option which is Deep Midnight Blue. As for the Nokia C2 Tava, the price has been set at $109.99 (about Rs 8,300) and sale begins on 29 May in online and offline outlets. The Nokia C2 Tennent is priced at $69.99 (about Rs 5,200) and will be sold only in offline outlets starting from 15 June. None of these phones are going to be announced in India.

Nokia C5 Endi: Specifications

The phone has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with an LCD panel that has an 19:9 aspect ratio. The selfie camera is housed on a waterdrop-notch while there are thick bezels on the bottom. Under the hood, we see the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset is present along with 3GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Optics-wise the phone has a triple-camera setup with a 13MP primary sensor along with a 5MP ultra-wide and depth sensor. The phone runs on Stock Android 10 and it has a battery of 4,000mAh which the company says can last for up to two days. There is a dedicated Google AI button on the phone.

Nokia C2 Tava: Specifications

This phone has a 5.45-inch display with an HD+ resolution and flanked on both the top and bottom with giant bezels. Inside the phone is an Helio A22 chipset which is supported by 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage with the option to expand to 128GB using a microSD card. As far as cameras go, the phone packs in a dual-camera apparatus which an 8MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front is a 5MP selfie shooter. It also runs on Stock Android 10 and the entire setup happens to be powered by a 3,000mAh battery. Like the C5 Endi, there is a dedicated Google Assistant button on the phone.

Nokia C2 Tennen: Specifications

The Nokia C2 Tennen is basically the same phone as the C2 Tava, but with a much lower price tag. The differences have not been revealed by the company but the C2 Tennen comes in a “Vibrant Steel” colour variant.

OPPO Reno 4, Reno 4 Pro Launch Date Set for June 5 in China, Here’re the Specificaitons and Features

The upcoming OPPO Reno 4-series has been in the rumour mill for a significant amount of time. It is a smartphone series where the Chinese smartphone giant uses its best camera hardware and this year is likely not going to be different. The Reno 4 was spotted on TENNA along with all its specifications just a while back. Now, OPPO has given a launch date for the device in China via its official Weibo account and it is 5 June.

Oppo Reno 4-series: Expected specs and price

As per the post, the launch is going to be at 7.30 PM local time which will be 5.00 PM IST. The teaser video posted by OPPO shows a design that is very reminiscent, at least from the front, of the Find X2 Pro, launched earlier this year. The device has a single punch-hole camera on the top right and a screen which curves on both sides. On the back is a triple-camera module with three bulging lenses and a fourth sensor, possibly a ToF sensor sitting flush with the body. Colour variants shown in the teaser are two ie Blue and Pink. The Reno4-series will be 5G-enabled. Apart from the teaser, multiple live shots of the device have also been shared online.

The TENNA listing of the phone revealed specs pertaining to the Reno 4 Pro 5G. The device will have a 6.5-inch display with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The triple-camera system on the device happens to be 48MP primary with a 12MP ultra-wide lens and 13 MP telephoto sensor. The punch-hole houses a 32MP selfie shooter.

The renders also showed that the phone will have a Type-C port for charging but will lack a headphone jack. The entire setup is powered by a 4,000mAh battery with 65W charging support. In terms of the chipset running on the phone, the phones in the Reno  4-series are touted to have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC. In terms of storage and RAM options, the phone will 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The pricing of the device is unknown but we should know more details as the launch date arrives.

We had recently spotted the Motorola One Vision Plus on Google Android Enterprise Directory confirming the existence of the device. Today, the Motorola One Vision Plus has made a visit to Geekbench.

The listing of the Motorola One Vision Plus on Geekbench mentions the full name of the device rather than its model number.

As for the specs, the Geekbench listing reveals that the Motorola One Vision Plus is powered by an 8-core Qualcomm processor that has a clock frequency of 1.8GHz. The motherboard of the device is listed as ‘Trinket,’ which is usually associated with Snapdragon 665 SoC, suggesting that the Motorola One Vision Plus features the Snapdragon 665 chipset. Furthermore, the listing reveals that the phone has 4GB of RAM and the Android 10 operating system. Coming to the benchmark score, the Motorola One Vision Plus has scored 310 points in the single-core test and 1,351 points in the multi-core test.

From its Android Enterprise listing, we know that the Motorola One Vision Plus will have a 6.3-inch display, 64GB storage, fingerprint scanner, and NFC support. Considering that the Motorola One Vision Plus has made it to Geekbench, its development seems to have been completed, suggesting that its launch is imminent.
