We know that Motorola is on the verge of launching two new budget smartphones – the Moto G 5G, and the Moto G 5G Plus on Tuesday. Thanks to previous leaks by popular leakster Evan Blass, we also know most of the specifications of the Moto G 5G. However, not much information was available surrounding the Moto G 5G Plus. That was until now because we have come across a fresh Geekbench listing that belongs to a new handset with the codename ‘Nairobi’. The listing also indicates that ‘Nairobi’ and the Moto G 5G Plus are the same devices.

From the listing, it is evident that the Moto G 5G Plus gets an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and ships with 4GB of RAM. The clock speed of the SoC IS 1.8 GHz and the device also happens to run Android 10. As far as the scores go, the device manages to score 596 points in the single-core test and 1872 points in the multi-core test.
We already know that the Moto G 5G will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 SoC and that it will also get a quad rear camera setup that consists of a 48MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The phone also gets a 21:9 FHD+ display and a 90Hz refresh rate. The ‘Plus’ variant of the device, therefore, can be expected to come with better specifications. At this moment, it remains unclear if the Moto G 5G Plus will get a better SoC than the SD765 processor.
Thanks to the 5G tag on their names, both these new Moto G phones will support 5G networks and will most likely be heading for the US and European markets first. It is too early to speculate if both these new phones will be heading for the Indian market.
